National Tree Day
Join in this fun family event and help create habitat for small birds at Blackman Park by planting a range of shrubs, ground covers and grasses. There are over 200 plants to be planted, but come early to avoid missing out!

Handy Herbs
Using homegrown plants as medicines. Did you know that about 80 – 85% of our pharmaceutical drugs are derived from plants? Gaining a knowledge of the use of common plants can deal with a large number of minor illnesses. This talk will identify some of the common plants and discuss their uses in the maintenance of the familys health. Presented by Dr. Karen Bridgman, renowned in the field of Natural Therapies/Complementary Medicine for the last 25 years.
