The 1st of August 2007 marks 100 years since Scouting’s founder, Lord Baden-Powell, held his first experimental Scout Camp on Brownsea Island in the UK. On this day a special event called Scouting’s Sunrise will mark this historic occasion. Please note the 2007 date for Scouting Sunrise is Wednesday, 1st August. Sydney celebrations will be at the Opera House and Martin Place outside Channel 7, Sunrise.
