Welcome back for Term 3! Please find our Cub program here – Term 3 2010 prog
Hope everyone had a good break (and enjoyed the walk delivering the fertaliser drive flyers if you went away please make an effort to finish delivering these a.s.a.p. to maximise the number of orders***)
Tomorrow night its the Cubs turn to attend the Lane Cove Citizenship Ceremony. As there is also a Group Parents Committee Meeting tomorrow night, there are no spare Leaders so all the cubs will need to attend with me. Even if your cub scout has been to one of these ceremonies before, I would like them to attend as they will have an opportunity to earn the L1 /L2 Citizenship badge by completing a Citizenship quiz plus enjoy the supper afterwards. Please wear full uniform and meet outside the Council Chambers (Lower Level opposite Swimming Pool gym) at 6:50pm. Depending on the speeches, the evening usually finishes within the hour so pick up from inside the Chambers at 8:15pm please.
Attached is a copy of the A1 for the District Bike Rally which is to be held next Sunday 25th July. It will be a great opportunity to pass both attending a District level activity as well as Cycling badge. The course we’ve chosen is going to be more than five kilometres to pass the required length for attaining a Level 2 Cycling achievement badge so consider this when deciding if any younger siblings wish to participate as well (N.B.: parents are required to supervise siblings as the leaders will be busy enough just with the cubs)
All necessary info is contained within the A1 -A1 for District Bike Rally 2010. Hope to see everyone there and pray for fine weather.
Best regards,
Yours in Scouting
Carolyn McGregor

March 2nd, 2010
Next Sunday, the cubs and scouts will be taking part in Clean Up Australia Day in Blackman Park as part of their community service focus. Please meet at the Scout Hall between 9 – 10:30am.
It would be great if you can register online as volunteers at the site www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Blackman+Park or just turn up on Sunday morning at the Scout Hall for 30 – 90 minutes: wear comfortable old clothes, closed shoes, hat and sunscreen and signed A1 form.
Click here A1 Activity Notification Form Clean Up Aust 7_3_10 to download.
If you have gardening gloves, please bring them otherwise we will have a selection of gloves to use.
PLEASE NOTE: we will need parental supervision for your cubs and scouts as 1-2 Leaders cannot supervise all the cubs/scouts!
We do not want cubs or scouts to pick up any sharps etc. They will need to call an adult or leader to help keep all of our youth members safe.
Yours in Scouting
