Help from Cub Scout Families needed for BBQ Sat 4th May*

April 29th, 2013

As the scouts will be in the Southern Highlands at the ScoutHike competition, we need help to run our fundraising BBQ in Blackman Park on Saturday morning… we know lots of families have sporting commitments each week, but please if you can spare a little time before or after your game we would appreciate help from cubs (uniform not required – just wear your scarf) and parents. See Kaa on Wednesday if you can help

462px-Remebrance_poppy_ww2_section_of_Aust_war_memorialThank you to all the cubs, scouts & venturers who attended the ANZAC Day Ceremony last Thursday – you were a credit to our Group. Well done to Leon Warren for giving the address about what ANZAC Day means to young Australians.

ANZAC DAY Ceremony in Lane Cove Thursday 25th April 2013

April 8th, 2013

This year the Lane Cove ANZAC Day Ceremony will be held in the Lane Cove Plaza beginning at 7:20am!

Please assemble at 7:15am near the bandstand in the Plaza: in neat and tidy FULL UNIFORM with stone / grey shorts or pants with polished or dark shoes! Last year we still had some Scouts and Venturers who came minus their scarves. Please locate your scarf and check all of your uniform the night before – NO SHORT SHORTS or racy colours PLEASE. New Chums are welcome to come and stand with our Group.

We should not have to specify what FULL Uniform means – so please use your common sense. This is a sober national day so if you are coming as a representative of our Scout Group please dress respectfully for the Veterans.
